expensive, yes. But they also do not lose value and over 20-40yrs of ownership it’s a small price to pay for something that will last 2-3 generations (if taken care of).

If you had spent 3 cars worth on Rolex's in 2000 you'd have 10 houses worth in the watches with current pricing and would retire. Just sayin'.

That gene is a good gene to have, ask me how I know.

So you sold watches and retired off of it?

And I was a jr in hs in 2000

So by your math if I would have spent 30k on rolexes in 2000, I would currently have $5,000,000?

Or 1 Rolex… or is that 3 Rolexes?

I might have been able to afford a Rolodex in 2000.

I had a $1000 dollar Tag Heuer once. Sold it for $250 in a Walmart once from a craigslist add.

Looking at sound dampening products for the cruiser. New tires helped with the road noise but there’s still some room for improvement. A local shop has a product for $450 for 36sqft and other places have Kilmat etc for $40 for 36sqft etc. is there that much of a a difference in dampening in these products?! This is my first time even looking at this stuff.

CLD doesn’t reduce noise. You need MLV for that. Ideally you want to layer as such:

CLD (dynamat or equivalent) > CCF (closed cell foam) -> decoupling layer (1/16” neoprene) -> MVL (mass loaded vinyl, virgin)
