Quick question, for those of you that have these permanently mounted in the weather, how would your prevent it from rust? I would like to mount it to the outside of my toolbox, and I do not want to have to mess with it when I need it. Also, is the neoprene cover a good investment, or should I make my own. I've heard things about it.

Can't really find better photos, so those will have to do.

I'm using an off brand Neoprene Jack cover, which served me ok for about a year, in Northeast. I don't expect it to last much longer, since it'sexposed to elements but that's something I'm aware of, and you should be as well.
Now days original one seems to be quite cheap, but there are other options as well
Hi-Lift Jack NJC Neoprene Jack Cover https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003CEFJ2A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yl34Cb5JX6C0K

So, as I said before, the cover protects the mechanism quite well, so there are no issues. From time to time, I spray the jack down with WD-40 with silicone (because that's what I have) and it believes that it helps the mechanism.
Can't say the same about the bar, powder coat is chipped and scraped, and rust is showing everywhere. But! I've heard the opinion that gray pc on hi-lift Extreme isn't worth crap, so there is that.

I recently replaced my 48" bar for a 60" red one, so I'm hoping it will hold up a little better.

I welded this together to fit around my relentless quick fist mounts. It mounts to the rail but I ended up adding a bolt through the top of wheel well for good measure. Super sturdy with no vibrations.

Shovel, 6lb axe, Maxsa boards, Co2 tank, ARB compressor and now hi-lift fit nicely under the tri-fold Tonneu.

Thanks for this. It's perfect and cheap as hell. I'm going to try painting the hinges though.

FYI, that master lock can be picked in about 15 seconds by a beginner. I know because I am a beginner lol.

Update to my last attempt to mount this “hi-lift” - the Badlands Trail Jack fits like a glove with the Hi-Lift Toyota bed mount. The locking knob is on the way.

Who here has done a fire extinguisher mount? I'm thinking about doing it in my bed, make it really easy to grab, or finally tear my dumb backseat out and do a Molle panel/goose gear thing
