This is odd, and I haven’t seen any posts like this situation I’m in. I just finished replacing all of my lights with LED bulbs, except for my main lights which I keep stock. I also did not touch the brake lights since they are already LEDs. Once I installed the signal lights I did get the quick flash, and had to install Sylvania resistors to prevent the fast blinking. However, I’m not sure at what point this happened, but when my lights are in the off position or in parking light/DRL position, I cannot flash my high beams. However, one of my lights are fully on. I have no problem flashing high beams or setting them on.

My hi beams only work when headlights are full "on." Thought that was normal.

Funny you mention that @RedDemolisher , my wife said the same thing. I checked the manual and it says that flashing high beams can be used at all positions (off, DRL, on)

Yes the high beams dont work unless headlights are on. But i believe the OP is saying he can't "flash" the high means meaning the momentary pull of the headlight arm towards the steering wheel.

Your brights should "flash" in any position by pulling back on the stalk. The brights come on when the lights are on by pushing the stalk forward. Is this what you're doing?

The flash to pass function should work in any position, sounds like a bad multifunction switch or the HF wire is open between the switch and Body ECU.

Removing the steering wheel covers (2 screws) find connector C11, Connector to combination switch.
Engine ON, Set the combination switch to Parking & DRL.
With a jumper wire, place wire on slot 12 then to slot 17. Have someone view the headlights action.

Connector positions on this drawing is as you look into it, not from the wire side.

yes! I wouldn’t expect to “turn on” (push away) the stick when off. But. “Go ahead flash” should work at all positions. Mine doesn’t. Thanks for clarifying.

I will say, this did work a few weeks ago, perhaps I pulled a wire out of place when installing my new stereo unit? Or since I put LEDs in the blinker and parking lights (with a resistor) there isn’t enough current (assuming they’re in series)?

just morning idle thoughts before starting.

Headlight circuit not related to turn/hazards circuit, so no.
