They did in the first two generations. Which resulted in them being worth 5-8k only at a few years old. Do you know for a fact that it won’t ?

i wouldn’t spend a dime over 30k on a base leaf. They are awful vehicles.

Rivian call it the gear tunnel.

If that is the case, how are people getting 340-350 miles of range in Conserve Mode?

A $33K EV econobox is now considered affordable? That’s more than I paid for my Tacoma when it was new.

So you don't know for a fact the 2023 leaf battery will fail in a few years. And of course I don't know either. They haven't been on the road long enough. If they start failing in a few years let me know.

They don’t. Unless they trail a semi at 55mph plenty of real world tests showing 2 miles per kw.. with a 130kw battery you can only do so much.

Is that why I’ve heard people say that the gear tunnel will chop of your legs? You need consent…

None of the people reporting that kind of range have been specifically hyper miling.

Rivian and the Lightning owners report higher range than Epa estimates. Some EV's getting less. Like an ICE car. It's how you drive it.

Who are these people? Every single article I have seen has em pegged at 2 miles per kw. You’re saying they get 3+ which is Bull.
my model S got 3.5 model X got 3, bmw I4 got 4. They are stream lined vehicles for aero, some on bicycle tires.

a 7000lb Brick like the rivian is at 2.

All the tests I have seen for a Rivian show less range than EPA. How are these people getting 50+ miles more?

You can find a bunch of them fully documented on YouTube. Conserve more only runs the front two motors and lowers the truck all the way down to minimize drag. The EPA tests did not use that configuration since is t the default mode.

How does your 26 year old truck compare to the modern vehicles we are discussing?

Exactly, you can’t buy a new car here without waiting for months, and then if you manage to get one without paying over MSRP, you are even more lucky, and this is the electric car capital of the world and you have 22 of them rotting away on a lot. The demand for cars is through the roof here and they can’t move them. They probably couldn’t even sell them to use as meter maid vehicles to a local police force.
