Found a great deal on a 1st gen Tacoma that I am thinking about pulling the trigger on but have a question regarding towing. I have a 17ft Aluminum BassTracker that I Would have to pull occasionally and wondering if a 1st gen double cab would have any issues pulling?

The truck does not have a towing package right now but If I do buy the truck I will go ahead and get one installed with a transmission cooler.

I'm taking a wild-ass guess at saying a 17' tracker plus trailer is going to weigh anywhere between 2000 and 3500 pounds depending on options, bilge, and gear, yes?

    ..... should be fine.
