Long time lurker, New member. I got an awesome deal on this tacoma 3 years ago and just recently been getting bored and started messing with it. Only problems it had when I bought it was the rear bumper was damaged and check engine light for 02 sensor. Which I replaced both immediately. Just recently I started putting in LEDs. I have big plans but will take some time doing everything. I plan on a 4x4 conversion soon. I will update soon with links to parts I used.

    Interior mods

    New tabs for cup holders

    Map light LED

    Dome light LED

Ac control panel LED and knobs
Currently looking for 4runner face plate to get rid of the orange.

Cigarette lighter and ash tray LED
The cigarette light bulb when I tried to pull it out I ordered the entire assembly on Amazon. I think it was for a Lexus. The plastic ring is white which is what I was going for. I slowly pulled the bulb off and broke the wire at the bulb that was soldered on. Tucked the wire in the socket on each side and tried an LED to see if it would work. I didn't need to solder the bulb because it fit tightly in the plastic housing with the wire tucked in it. I did have to shorten the LED. I just took wire cutters and snapped off the bottom end as much as I could and it was still too long. Took a knife and trimmed notches on the pigtail the bulb rest in to be able to get it to turn and lock in the housing because the bulb was too long. Next time I have it apart I'll take pics and I'll link the bulb I used soon.

    Glove box LED

    Cluster LED

    Exterior mods

    LED headlights

To be used for advice / troubleshooting
I'm not a master mechanic but I've turned a few wrenches. By all means I'm no pro so I'll have a lot of questions.

I will start with my check engine light for 02 sensor. I replaced it when I bought the truck 3 years ago and the light comes on and off often. Not sure the cause. I occasionally have white smoke when starting but it doesn't last long. I'm really hoping it's not a head gasket problem. Could be oil... either way I'm assuming that's caused my cat to go bad maybe? I don't know I'm open to suggestions.
