Bought a used 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD with 11,000 miles on it a couple of years ago. So far, it has been running well except lately it takes a while to accelerate. Just received a notice that is in included in a Denso fuel pump lawsuit which is yet to be decided. If it is impacted by the fuel pump, what would be the indicators? Relying heavily on this truck and concerned about navigating the Montana winters, especially if an issue develops. Is there anything I can do proactively to avoid problems? I know absolutely nothing about mechanical issues. Thanks for your support. (Should I get a carfax to see if prior problems or repairs?)

Some lawer is trying to get rich of that. Toyota already has a recall out for the pump.

Take it in and see if your truck was part of the recall. Or, you could just give them the VIN# and they will know.

The lawyer gets a $50 gift card times 1,000,000 lol Toyota already addressed this I don't get this lawsuit. My fuel pump was under recall but I never had any issues and they replaced it anyway just in case.

Thanks to all of you. I went in to dealership to discover that the pump had already been replaced due to the recall. Now, wondering why it is slow to accelerate...

There's updates for shift logic and high altitude regions for 2018 models.

Search for T-SB-0062-18 on here. I can't supply the form.

Montana is slightly high altitude I imagine, I'm in Alberta and we're 1000 meters.

If you mash the pedal does it accelerate? Mine definitely has a sluggish feel until you mash the pedal then the engine wakes up.

You can't drive these trucks gingerly. Barely touching the pedal causes them to lug and gear hunt. Put some muscle to the pedal.

I got the notice too, even though I had the fuel pump replaced on my 2019 under the recall. I don't see how a lawsuit has any merit since a recall was issued so quickly. Your truck may have had it replaced already. I think the fuel pumps were stalling in the warmer weather states.

    That lawsuit seems super frivolous.

Keep in mind the Denso fuel pump issue was not just for Toyota they sell parts to all car manufacturers.
