    It's a personal choice. I personally think they look tacky. Others think they look sweet. It will help prevent stone chips, so it has that going for it.

    This is the least of your worries. You need to keep an eye on that will-peel-very-soon Super White paint.

    Ditch - I've never found them to be all that effective and I hate the look. At least people stopped putting slogans on them. "Grandpa's Toy" and the like.

    I would be more concerned with the way it was mounted. there are plent of posts having to do with paint damage from the mounting points. Mine rubbed on the grill surround and headlights due to the rotten fittment of the hood from Toyota.
