4 Wheel Parts Bed Stiffener Install

4Wheel Parts put their bed stiffener on sale for under $98 so I ordered one last week. It came in and I installed it today. Took about an hour and a half to install so is wasn’t too bad. I chose theirs because it mounted internally and nothing blocks the bed.

 

Nice! Thats a great deal too! Almost makes me want to order even though I dont need them and most likely never will. No plans for a shell, rack, or any serious off roading.
Looks great though.

You're a lucky fellow. I order mine 6 months ago at full retail, just as stock ran out and my order went into backorder limbo. Out of the blue it showed up on my porch yesterday.

Any lessons on install worth commenting on?

 

I got the 4wp ones and total chaos ones side by side and ultimately went with total chaos because they were easier to install and had more tiedown points

 

Hardest part is drilling the holes underneath the bed and the only bad part of that was the hot metal chips landing on my arm. Take your time measuring the holes topside and I also painted the hole edges.

Internal install, now thats interesting. Hard to flex on other taco bros when they can't see them in their full glory though!

 

Nope, should have worn long sleeves but it was 85 degrees out!

 

Thanks for posting, i didn't know this existed, going to have to make a trip to 4wheel. I like the cleaner setup.

 

Looks like they've been discontinued, Does anyone know of any other brands that offer an internal design?

I ordered mine last November when they said in stock and it took a few months on backorder. I think they've got a fabricator that takes a while to make a batch. I'm guessing they'll turn up again soon, as it's a pretty nice design. They don't advertise them well, though.

 

They cancelled my order. No back-order available. Looks like they are gone for good.

 

Saw that, mine was general speculation based on how long I had to wait for a seemingly in-stock product.

 

They are closing down the location here in Santa Rosa, CA on the 30th. Never a good sign.

 

Heck, I've got an order in, confirmation e-mail, and no word from 4WP.

I just tried calling. The voice jail said the order question desk was closed, call back another day.
