Perfect! That’s what I’m going with I believe. Did the “offset” change at all that you noticed do to what I believe is a wider wheel? I think my oem wheels are 16x7 and these are 17x7.5

    both 30mm

I don’t know if the offset changed, they look wider. I went from a 245/75R16. Looks much better!

Did you put any spacer on for this? These are the exact wheels I'd like to find for my 2nd gen, but I think the offset is +25 vs. +30 to the stock 2nd gen OR wheels. (I'm a tire/wheel noob so not sure whether the 5mm offset difference is significant enough to warrant any sort of spacer or other compensation.)

Also what size are those tires? Looks like they might be 265/75 (i.e. one size up?)

No modification required. Just a winter tire swap: usually 8 tires/4 wheels, but this was 8 wheels/4 tires and no squawks about the TPMS sensors from the eBay store, and all sensors read in with Mike's two laps around the truck on the last Groundhog Day. The '09 Access Cab looks great! The alloy wheel hub cap looks smaller because it's spoked, and be gentle with them because they're plastic, not steel. No worries about offset...

When you do this, do you have to get new wheel sensors for the 2nd gen? I saw a video of someone swapping saying they had to do it and another one with no mention of it.

Just picked up a set of complete takeoffs from a 21 OR to replace the Trd sports on my 13. Paid 400$ for wheels, tires, lugs and tmps.

Since the tmps from the 21 aren’t transferable I’ll need to get new ones. The tires still have life left in them so I was planning on running them until they need replaced. I can deal w/ the warning light in the mean time and purchase new tmps sensors when I purchase new tires.

    My question is this:

When I get new tmps sensors do I need any info off of the current ones on my 13? I read somewhere on a different thread that they need the old codes for programming the new ones.

I was planning on selling my current TRD Sport rims as complete takeoffs (wheels, tires, lugs and tmps) since I think it will help them sell easier/faster and bring a higher offer Vs trying to sell just the dismounted rims w/ no tmps and used tires. Was hoping to net somewhere around 200-250 for the complete 2nd gen take off’s which would drop the price on the 3rd gens down to 200$ out of pocket.

Am I being a tight wad? I dislike the thought of paying a dismount fee and tmps install fee now only to have to pay the dismount fee again next spring/summer when I purchase new tires for the 3rd gen rims.

Edit* also entertaining the thought of just keeping the 2nd gen take offs. Put them back on when I trade it in and resell the 3rd gen takeoffs when I trade up to a 3rd gen in the future.

When I did mine, I just used the sensors out of my old wheels. They fit fine unless your old wheels are steel.

No, the tire guy just has to walk around the vehicle to program the new sensors and make certain they're read into the system. That only takes a couple minutes at most. My Costco Tire guys just made the changeover invoice as "winter tire swap" (8 wheels and 4 tires vs. 8 tires and 4 wheels, same-same work). Replacing old sensor codes in the vehicle with new sensor codes... The only real difficulty is in whether the truck has 5 TPMS in the system or 4 (when the spare tire TPMS was not included in the truck's manufacture).

IMG_4826.png IMG_4825.png You all inspired me to put some 265/75/R16 with 3rd gen wheels on my 2nd gen! Stock suspension, no rubbing at all. Running BFG KO2’s and really like the look! Got the take offs for $350 which I thought was a great deal! Before and after photos
