Kind of a “prelander”. 2wd with long travel and fiberglass. Has 5.29 and locker. As far as overlanding, has a compressor and 1.5 gallon tank for airing up tires (and train horn). Also has 5 gallons of pressurized water on board. No RTT for me, too expensive, don’t want to drive a kite, too expensive, pain in the ass when you’re camping at the same place multiple days and have to keep folding it, and did i mention price? Plus a winch which isn’t very prerunner but very overlander. It’s in a receiver hitch so it comes out. Has outlets in the bed to charge phones and can run a small inverter. All sorts of recovery gear as well (boards, ramps, snatch block, straps etc)

nice ride... 2wd with winch is cheap insurance.

Would be cool to make a mount in the bed for the winch and have it all wired to be installed front or rear.

Roof top tents new are pretty pricey but used can be picked up at a value if you find the right deal.... $500 or so... really not too bad if you camp a lot... My shit box works way better with the added weight on the back.

I have a piece 2” receiver square tubing I am going to put somewhere in the bed just haven’t decided on an idea I love

Yeah with 2wd it’s tough to get actually stuck, pretty easy for someone else to pull me out or use the winch or traction boards. If i don’t have someone to pull me out or anything to winch from I guess i’m just fucked. Also considering my ABS/speed sensors in the front wheels are broken the 4x4 wouldn’t work anyway

I really want a tear drop or a trailer with a tent on top

I'm not experienced, but I understand that you can bury a spare and use that as an anchor.

Prelanding out here, but more on the overland side until I can link the back half and make a rack setup connected to the shock hoops/frame. Whoops are not the friend of SOA nor bed rail mounted tents. DWphoto is the goal

Thanks! I am running an archive garage shock relocation, 2" spacers, hammer shackle hangers, Deaver U402 2" lift springs, King 12" triple bypasses, and King hydro bump stops. Front bumper is the prelander bumper from Outgear Solutions with the wide option while the rear is custom fabbed.

sounds like some of you friends need to come check out the Gambler500 we do a lot of trail cleaning and always love to have groups come out and help. heck might be worth getting in contact with sons of Smokey which is attached to the gambler 500 who helps pay for the cost of trash clean up and dumpster for events

yea buddy. I was hoping to make it up the Oregon this summer.. but didn't pan out.

Met Tate this year at KOH... good dude. We (badlinesgoodtimes) are actually working with him ( Gambler 500 and SOS ) on the Trash issue at KOH 2024

    "King of the Canners"

The son's of smokey app is rad. We used it to mark the trash at the Clean Dezert events.
