    I have my vin number, can anyone help me determine when my truck will arrive? My salesman is useless.

    Oh look, another mod....
    To be brutally honest, you'll probably get it by Christmas. If you're lucky. A lot of people are waiting on their trucks. I know this isn't the answer you wanted to hear, but it's the cold-hard-truth.

    Is the vin the one they gave you when you put in for an allocation? If that's the case, it isn't the actual vin of your truck. I cannt recall where the position is, but the temp vins have back-to-back digits that indicate the projected build week within the year (i.e. "01" = Jan 1-7; "52" = Dec 24-31). If your temp vin is no longer active, the truck is either currently being built or has been. In which case it'll go inactive on the Toyota site.

    If you've received an actual vin from the dealer, there are threads on here with resources that can help you find out where in the delivery process your truck is.

    Is the tenth byte of your VIN an "N" or a "P"?
    N = 2022
    P = 2023

    Okay, 2022 it is. Post your VIN on the other thread and ask Rod to look it up for you (and send him a free coffee or a beer).

    I too was told mid-sept on mine. Realize there was a rail slow down in there, I was willing to cut them some slack. Train from MX/CA to Chicago.

    I sent my dealer an email the other day - basically stating "what's up? I've shipped hundreds of millions by rail and some on this very lane. That's 7 days, not 7 weeks transit. Did Toyota not make it or did they allocate it to someone else?"

    Truck's in the depot yard in Chicago right now - waiting to be processed and transportation arranged to my dealer. THEN I get to wait for the PDI to be done and I pick it up.

    IMO - it will be very hard to know for sure when you'll get your truck. You'll just find out when the dealer does. Toyota isn't directly planning their transportation -they likely use a 3PL who may or may not be struggling. They run a much tighter ship on inbound logistics vs outbound with different relationships/3PLs providing each.

    If you really want to learn/get into it - read https://www.ineak.com/toyota-logistics-operation/

    Call to speak to the manager of the dealership. Ask them for an answer if the salesman is ignoring you.
