I know I know, "google it!" but Google has only turned up results for first and second gens, and parts.toyota.com has been timing out all day today. Does anyone happen to know the part numbers for the interior door handles for a DCLB? Specifically the chrome lever part (if those can be acquired separately instead of as part of the door handle assembly)

Why? I have an idea to do some custom paint on it as side project # 729 in my garage full of side projects.

Toyota dealer is a great resource as well, let the parts department do the work.

If you're planning on painting it, I would think you'd get better results with the non-"chrome" version. The SR5s come with handles without the chrome. I think they were around $30 a pop when I was de-chroming my interior.

I haven't had much success with the parts departments near me. I've gone to them with part numbers right off the Toyota website and they act surprised that those parts even exist.

Good call, that's exactly what I'm going for anyway.

Seems odd, they use a more extensive database than what is online. I've called several Toyota dealers across the country looking to source rare parts and all have been easy to work with.

What Toyota dealer are you using?

There's one by Wilmington DE and another just north in PA I call. There's a couple more in range around Baltimore, but they had huge markups and turd salesmen, so I just avoid them altogether.

I just called Price, gave them the VIN and they quoted me the part number and cost and said they could order it....

Seems pretty straight forward to me.. good luck

I was planning on sourcing second hand parts to get a spare set of handles on the cheap. I'm not sure I'll like the added material thickness with the Meso covers and I don't want to spend $50 to find out.

Fair enough. Post pics once you're done with your project!
