My dad used to tell a couple stories about working with high pressure fluids on the old Atlas missile sites.

They had 7000psi helium on site. At least once, someone heard a leak, and felt around to find it. Sliced right through fingers.
After that, procedure for suspected leak was clear the area then spray with soapy water.

Also had hydraulics at some fairly high pressure. Maintenance guy was standing right next to a tiny leak. Finally realized his arm was feeling heavy - atomized hydraulic fluid had penetrated the skin and was filling up his arm. Doctors were amazed that he didn't lose his arm (at minimum).

 

I don't have kids, but if I did I'd be really jealous that you can bring them in to work like that.

 

When you're done with this you're going to have to take a disassembled pic with all of the parts laid out.

It's a damn good thing I'm an honest guy.

Cleaning up a work computer for someone that quit, I logged into my admin account then went into their profile to remove things.

In amongst various work related documents was a scan of her driver's license, a bill with her hospital account number, a pay stub with her banking information and Social Security number...

DON'T LEAVE THESE THINGS ON YOUR WORK COMPUTERS!

People confuse the hell out of me sometimes.

 

Work computer, Lol. Last place I’d consider safe. Keep your system close but keep the system administrator even closer.

Reminds me something I experienced a few years ago at my previous place of employment.
Our site team had to move to a different trailer on the opposite side of the site. In the trailer I found file cabinets full of peoples personal documents. The previous tenant of the trailer was one of the scaffolding companies on site. These documents were every employees onboarding documents. Copies of driver’s license, Social security number, bank account numbers and routing numbers for direct deposit.
I immediately call site security. Within 15 minutes a guard was there. They had a document control company come and take the cabinets always that day.

 

These are my Go To.

 

Next up, a handle to move the opener. I stuck my flashlight in it to see the opening better.
