    Local muffler shop?

They may charge less welded on than you'd be able to order a bolt up.

Crap. I had no idea it was that hard now. Especially with these things being stolen all the time.

    Wrecking yard?

yeah its really hard now,its was legal to cut the cat up and clean the inside and reweld it together. but california is extra whack now because they made cleaning it illegal..it sucks for our trucks even more..i had a lemon cat,but i was so lucky to be under warranty still. the total cost would have been 2200.00 for tacoma 4.0 cats and labor!!

be careful when buying aftermarket cats, almost all of them won't work. all the time i quote people a cat and 1hrs worth of labor (1300 +or-) they don't like the quote so the go buy aftermarket ones, MIL light comes back on, they spend 1300 any way. be sure to replace the post cat o2 sensor (bank * sensor 2) stuff from the cat grenading showers it and clogs it
