Oh trust me, I have no issue with building boxes. This one came from Dell when I was working on sys architecture/dev with AW. Actually, had one of all their AW systems for testing here at home. If anyone remembers the great NVIDIA latency bug with the M17x and the other laptops AW released when they were bought by Dell, I had a hand in getting that resolved. F-ing nvidia and their drivers lol. Damn that was a long time ago.

A few pics from one of my trips to AW HQ in FL and to Austin, Tx -

The media room where they would put together some of those sys debut vids
    upload_2022-10-14_23-29-29.jpg

They would populate that room with other 'dummy' systems as filler. Here are a few props.

Good ol' Parmer Lane Campus in Austin. Not even sure if they're there anymore.

I guess since we’ve strayed into NAS territory, here’s my home server

    D1649FFB-9F98-4EF1-AD5B-E0247098DE08.jpg

    Dual Xeon l5640
    96gb of ram
2x 3TB mirrored and encrypted ZFS pools
    Running on FreeNAS

Mostly use it for storage, and it automatically replicates and snapshots my Dropbox. I can boot it remotely, and I can run virtual machines on it. Since I’m no longer backing up stuff for other people I usually turn it on once a week to sync or when I’ve got a project going.

And it happened again…someone slammed on their brakes in the roundabout to let someone in. Brakes on the taco work great apparently, but I think I should get a dash cam.

Anyone know what the market is looking like for these trucks? It seems like prices have cooled a but since last summer.

I've seen prices steadily drop, both on FB MP and even here in the forum

Ultimately it's whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I read an article (or maybe it was a post) yesterday which likened the 1st gen Tacoma to a collectible now. I tend to agree. It's beyond the enthusiast level now I think.

Someone asked what I’d sell mine for last weekend. Given it’s state of appearance, I was surprised

Yea that could be. It just seems like people are holding onto their money more nowadays.

We have a little heat surge Tues/Wed then back to 70s

I just try not to get too excited because Fall/Winter weather comes in phases between hot weather for most of CA

Supposed to be another La Nina winter which means colder for most every other state but warm and dry once again for us.

Need some of that El Nino winter we got in the 90s

Yeah I made that mistake once with my old Budbilt skid, hole was slightly off from the drain and 5 quarts basically spread out all over the skid and into the ground lol

Funnel idea is a good one

Yeah, I'm so not used to this whole "higher than 65 after July" weather
