Trying to take off my dirt king upper control arms on my 2017 Tacoma in order to adjust the preload on my kings. I can’t get the ball joint bolt free from the knuckle. The arm just moves with the knuckle when I hit it with a hammer. Any suggestions?

I’ve had to beat the spindle with a 5lb sledge. Are you hitting the flat spot on the spindle where the ball joint seats?

Just got it, took a massive beating to get it loose but it finally did come loose. Thanks for the reply!

I guess if you are having this issue and you think you are beating it hard enough, you aren’t. Haha
