Who has NOT installed interior LEDs?

So, I took out the LEDs and re-installed the incandescent bulbs. And I’m really liking them sooooo much more than the LEDs.
When I unlock the truck at night, I’m greeted by a warm, mellow, inviting glow. More than enough light to get in and get situated ready to drive. I flipped on the map light to get my wallet, and had more than enough to see what I was doing.
The incandescents are so much easier on my eyes and than the harsh, way-too-bright LEDs. And, like I said, to me, the incandescents give a mellow, warm, and inviting glow.
I’m so glad I switched back.

 

My interior lights are still factory. I did, however, install the OEM LED bed-light kit. OEM LED headlight install coming soon too. Personally, I could care less about the interior lighting.

Stock interior lights. I have them off anyway, I prefer my night-vision intact and not silhouetted while getting in/out my truck in the dark.

 

Me neither: I changed the plate lamps from the 168's (5w) to the 194's (3w). Just a minor (but noticable) difference. The only ones I would be interested in swapping to LEDs would be the back-up lamps. They're so dim (especially with the rear window privacy glass) that when I first got the truck I thought they were both out. Might as well have two birthday-cake candles back there. lol

 

I like the warm color of light. I've always preferred it, so will likely remain stock.

 

I do not understand why people want interior LED lights. They look terrible. Opening your car door is like entering an office building. Cold and industrial. I think people do it because it's an easy mod, and they want to fiddle with their truck.

 

They aren't too bright (soft light) at night however, in this pic you can see the difference during the day time.

It's preferred by me and it was an easy mod...well, sorta. Have you ever had to take out the map lights? Talk about a PITA! lol

EDIT: And the LEDs are polarity sensitive.

 

Does anyone know if the VLEDS Maps lights would be the same color red as the Meso Red. I don't know when Meso will have the dual color maps back in stock so I was thinking about getting the VLEDS but I didn't know if the reds might be slightly different shades.

Stock interior lights. I have a hard time replacing something that’s not broken and works good enough.

 

When I start adding all of my other electronics, I’ll add one of these in red/white…

I ordered a set of interior LEDs from Amazon.
They arrived last week.
After reading this thread this morning, I returned them at the UPS store.
Guess I really don't need searing bright lights in my cab.
You can really get caught up in what to mod on your truck.

 

I'm really "baffled" at why Interior LEDs are considered so "brilliant" as to cause the eyes to shutter on this board. (Who is passing this info?) lol

I only say this because it keeps getting repeated which has a tendency to impact people in a way to persuade it as truth.

 

I’ve had multiple trucks of each gen of Tacoma. I’ve never had the need to swap a bulb for LED. And my ‘19 has the best interior lighting. Nope.

 

And that's fine...in your opinion.

But speaking in such a manner for acquiring such a thing so profoundly is exactly what I'm referring to as truth.
