Entune Headunit Whirring Noise

2016 Black Tacoma SR5 DCSB 4X4

Hey everyone.

It's been 80k miles of (mostly) smooth sailing with my Tacoma until today when my non-JBL headunit decided to start acting up.

The issue manifests itself with the headunit restarting itself an irregular number of times before booting up fully. However, once it boots up fully it has no noise whatsoever. If you listen to the video with sound on, you'll hear a whirring noise. I've got no idea where that is coming from but it is certainly new.

Is my headunit FUBAR? Or is there some simple fix I'm missing?
