I have a 2007 4x4 Tacoma, and I would sometimes get a small shake around 35mph and it would stop when I let go of the gas. It progressively got worse and now it shakes and sometimes shutters pretty badly almost every time I hit around 35-40mph
It seems to only happen when the engine is warm, I already changed the u joints but now I’m thinking is the torque converter. Does anyone have a clue what it is?

Are you lifted? Does it go away in 4Hi? If yes to those, ECGS clamshell bushing is your answer.

Check the drive shaft bearing. My 05 4x4 was doing that and as it got worse (quickly) it was at most all higher speeds. If you let it go it'll affect the u joints and rear end. More $$$ I know the hard way.
Back in 1976 an Army buddy had a 4x4 56 Willeys pick up that made a lot of noise. He said "It's supposed to...when it stops making noise...better check it out". Not true anymore. Get on it!

Doesn't necessarily sound like clamshell bushing to me then. Just a low hanging fruit question given the speed you felt a vibration at.

My 2015 started doing the samething around 80k miles as did my stepfathers 14 at around the same mileage. We both havent figured it out and are living with it. He has 160k+ miles now and I almost 114k. I just let off whenever I feel it starting to shake. Ive read from other places its probably torque converter. I brought it to the dealer while it was still under warranty and they "couldnt replicate the issue" and wouldnt let me show the tech because of covid....

My Ranger used to do that at those exact speeds. Here are my possibilities:

    Driveshaft out of balance
    Driveshaft bearing or universal joint
Pinion angle (this is especially true if your truck is lifted, and the pinion angle was not adjusted to account for the steeper angle)

For my Ranger, it ended up being the last one. It wasn't lifted, but it was a long bed, which had a longer driveshaft. When the truck slowed down, either by taking my foot off the gas at highway speed or braking, because the truck would naturally shift forward (front would go down/rear would go up) from inertia/momentum. When that happened, it would increase the pinion angle just enough to cause that womp, womp, womp feeling.

It didn't happen when driving off highway because there wasn't enough momentum (in my case) to cause as much pinion angle change.

I figured it out because I started to notice that when I had the bed loaded with stuff, I didn't have that problem - the extra bed weight kept the rear down enough when slowing down from speed.

Mine has been doing this lately as well from about 25-35mps.. i'm taking the driveshaft to the shop and having them rebalance and replace all the u-joints, as well as inspect the yolk and see if its bent out of shape or something

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Check for broken leaf springs, too

Did you check your carrier bearing? Mine had a shudder at take off and a good shudder at 55 to 65mph. Put in a new carrier bearing and shudder is pretty much gone now.
