Hey guys currently in the process of painting my 2nd gen grill. I’ve sanded it down, should I try and remove the chrome entirely, or just assume that this sanding is fine. Thanks.

I removed the "chrome" on my headlight reflectors with Easy Off oven cleaner when I did the BHLM many years ago. Not sure if that's the same type of coating or not, but it was REALLY easy. Spray on, let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse it off with the garden hose. The chrome was gone.
