    don't think that will make a 4 banger hold 6th at 75mph.

Sure, it will hold 6th - you just won't be going 75 anymore

Those don't even make it to 75mph without sending the transmission into 7 neutrals...

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

Wait, tacoma comes with a 4 banger? That experience must be tragic.

In 16-17, they offered 4 cyl 5 spd which wasn’t so bad. But yeah, 160 hp coupled with an AT in a heavy truck, no bueno.

It would be fine if the AT didn’t have the gearing it does. That gearing is nowhere near proper for a 4 cyl, hence why they downshift constantly. It works but mostly stays in the first four gears.

Yes, but also it’s 160 hp engine in a heavy truck that’s shaped like a brick.

Some don’t even know, they’ve never had to drive a car with less than 250HP. My first car was 1979 Datsun 210, 4 door, and it had well under 100 HP,,,, it think it was less than 80:eek:

My first vehicle was 1990 mazda b2200 5spd with about 80 hp. I was in highschool and was super excited to just be driving haha.

Tacoma is like a rocket compared to that thing.
