Radio glitch if playback was paused. Can be paused by text, phone call or pause button.

I have a 2021 Taco TRD off-road. While listening to music, on any source (AM, FM, Bluetooth, Android Auto) the music will intermittently pause/stop for a second or two. It's similar to how a CD used to skip. I have tried taking the truck to the dealer to see if there is a fix or update, but they act like I am crazy or that this is a nonexistent issue. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, have they found a fix? My son has a 20 TRD off-road and has the same issue.

 

My audio gets interrupted too when receiving a call or text, so I believe that is how the head unit is designed. I mostly listen to podcasts and have an app on my Android phone called Voice Audiobook Player. It will automatically skip back 20 seconds when interrupted so I don't miss anything (so a brief interruption has never bothered me). I can't help you with AM or FM interruption.

Just bought a 2016 TRD OR and noticed it today...actually hit the eject button thinking I was listening to a CD someone left in there instead of the FM radio.

Any updates on solving it?
