FS: [Chico, CA] TRD headers ceramic coated

Hi all, been a long time since I was in the game for Tacomas as I got a different project to put my time into. So up for sale are my trd headers for a 2 cat truck. They are ceramic coated and have not been run at all. There is a single dent on the center runner for the passenger side of the vehicle. I have gaskets and exhaust studs for them as well. These are carb legal for certain years of trucks, please do your research. I think the Carb number for these headers is D-425-12.

Located in Chico, CA and I make trips periodically to Cameron Park, Ca. I can ship these headers.

That's a big dent. Do they have the manufacturer's serial number and carb number on them?

Nice kit! Good luck finding a brand new set these days. Coated is a plus too. Dent looks well done, like it was on purpose to get better clearance near the coil bucket. Won't hurt performance at all. Will pair nicely with a supercharger setup. Makes me miss mine.

 

Living in cali, I wouldn't touch these without the sticker or a way to prove they are carb legal..

 

I have TRD headers on my truck (with the CARB sticker) and the smog shop I always take it to reminds me each time that in their system, the TRD headers are technically not legal for the 2004s. No idea why, might be some weird emissions rule that changed that year or maybe TRD never did what they needed to do to include the 04s.

He still passes me but warns that it could be a problem in the future. Weird technicality but just a heads up for anyone in CA with an 04 looking at these.

 

Best way to deal with carb is just have a place make the sticker for you. I don't have a sticker for these, though I have never seen a set sell with one as they are 20 years old nowadays.

No set of trd headers have the serial on them, the serial used for carb is an overall part number for all pieces together, not the individual pieces that have numbers.

If I didn’t peel the door off my tundra and have to pay to fix it, I would buy these for my 98… with any luck they’re still here come tax time
