Looking for an aftermarket head unit with Apple car play. Would prefer it fits in the stock location. I’ve seen some that are just too large for my liking.

    Non-jbl 2017 trd off-road truck.

Best way is to go to Crutchfield.com, enter your truck year/model, and see what fits.

iLX-W650 ain't that new, been out for a couple of years. I was looking to get the iLX-W650. Then I wanted HD radio so I was gonna get the iLX-407. Well I ended up getting the new iLX-507.

The iLX-507 came out a few months ago this year. The better features are has HD 720p display, supports 96khz/24bit audio (has Tidal, not that I care), 13 band EQ, & has wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. But it does currently cost $350 more than the W650.

I don't use Android Auto much (only on longer trips) but if you plan on using CarPlay/AA a lot, wireless is so much more convenient (they make add-ons for wireless though). I really love this HU. Just yesterday I added screen mirroring dongle to the HDMI input so now there's not any cables needed to plug into my phone from the HU.
