I'm guessing that it was bc you were using metric measurements? Although it plainly says SD in your profile....

I wish! Hopefully in the long term we can get a bigger garage.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't think I will be cutting them down. The awning is the Ironman 4x4 270 one, so it's a little bulky. It's going to be tight even with the garage door pulled all the way back, so we'll see.

I just put my 75% payment down, so excited for the build to get started!

Nice! I like that idea! Looks like it doesn't interfere with the side door either? Can you still fully open it?

There is no metal to metal contact with the door. The awning does make contact with it, stopping it short of fully opening. The awning is soft so there wont be any damage. I access my fridge through that door with no issues.

I moved up to 35s with medium duty OME springs and was able to fit in my garage but I switched to heavy duty springs and now my camper is too high for my awning to clear lol. The awning is off for now. I'm going to build a drawer system and then see if the truck drops in height.

How have you mounted ypur hard korr lights? Wanderlust overland sent 3m tape, but i cant aee how that would work as the mounting side has a channel in it.

I just used double sided tape right over the channel. They've been there for a while now and are held on pretty good.

Same, lights have stayed on no problem with the double sided tape.

Sweet, I might try your trick to lower the height a bit.

That's another good point, I forgot the camper weight will bring it down a bit. I just have an AAL for now, but will probably get a leaf pack at some point if I lift it (after a new garage hopefully lol).

Where did you mount the light "upstairs?" Just want to make sure it wont get all effed up when close/tent material and stuff. Not sure where ill run/mount the wiring upstairs either.

My Hard Korr lights are all downstairs, long ones on each side and short one on the rear hatch.

For upstairs I bought this which someone here recommended. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09B3JDCQT?ie=UTF8. It works well enough but I seldom use it, prefer to use a headlamp when I'm up there. I don't spend much time in the camper aside from sleeping.

Main reason for putting Hard Korr downstairs and USB powered light up top was not having to mess with wiring.

for upstairs I bought the hard korr light strips that don’t come in a housing. They slide into the extrusion. I then covered it with a transparent cover that I had from a different led light strip project.

Lower lights similar to how others have installed them but none are currently on doors. I’m going to add a 39” bar to the very end of the rear door for campground lighting.
