Does anyone have any idea what this noise is from the engine? I'm also not able to get above roughly 1500rpm. I was told that it could be the cylinders. I hope that's not the case. It happened a day after I changed my oil or it was a problem and i never noticed it until it got worse. Didn't notice any oil leakage while changing the oil and didn't get the low oil light.

I hear the noise the most coming from the exhaust right after the engine shown below. This is scary. any help would be great. Thanks guys.

I was gonna make a joke about it probably being from the Fram oil filter....until I read the issue started right after you changed your oil. So, about that. Go over what you touched. Your video is private, can't see it.

Are you sure you drained your engine oil and not something else..? Oil level correct right now on the dipstick?

Can't see the video but based on your description I'm thinking maybe the catalytic converter has came apart and is plugging the pipe.

Is the check engine light on? If so, pull the codes and post them in this thread.

This sounds plausible too. Substantial blockage of airflow/exhaust and it can’t breathe for shit. Oil change timing is sus though. Very sus.

sounds like exhaust trying to escape, not a knock or rattle to me, but its hard to hear as its loud, but sounds like if you held you hand over the tail pipe and the exhaust was trying to find a way out. do you feel air pressure anywhere under the hood around the manifold or exhaust connections?

I brought it up because quit a few people have done that very thing and came here for help. I watched the video. Heck of a racket.

If you end up totally stumped and can’t really drive it anywhere due to RPM issue, you might want to consider a well reviewed mobil mechanic if you’re new to all this.

Sounds like clogged up exhaust, the cat came apart or melted. Is there any exhaust coming out the tailpipe? Quick check is pull the O2 sensor above the cat out and see if it drives better, or just remove (break off haha) the two bolts above the cat and run the pipe wide open and see how it drives.

Clogged cat, too much back pressure from the clogged cat will cause the exhaust to overcome the spring pressure on the flange and blow the exhaust out there. Get it taken care of soon or the heat from the exhaust will start to melt the firewall shield, harnesses, secondary air injection. Call the dealer some of then are covered under a recall and if anything is damaged it will all get replaced.
