Baby got new shoes. 265/70/R17 Maxxis Razr AT on Method 706 wheels 17x8.5 zero offset.

Suspension is stock. There is a rub on the driver's side fender liner I think I can fix with a heat gun. If the truck was only street driven I don't think it would be an issue

Had my local tint shop install 3M clear bra Pro Series kit yesterday for 550.00. I've had them installed them on my 2 other current Tacomas and think it's one of the top mods to do.

You could try adding the spacer above the driver's side shock that compensates for the "taco lean"?

Aren't those tires just a tad larger than OE tires? Use to put 16" and 17" on Civics that came with tiny 13" or 14" wheels so wouldn't that be considered oversized?

It would still rub when compressed and turning, which is common when driving off road. The wheel well needs more clearance.

I thought that is a leaf spring issue?

Fuel tank and battery are on the same side so the suspension is compressed a bit more than the other side.

Ahh but most of that weight is nearer the leaf spring. All the same. I get it now. I have my spare in the bed. Think I’ll move it to the right a tad. Lol.

Hope you sell them locally cuz freight costs are thru the roof. I know I work for Such a company. No one is shipping a lot these days. We are usually quite busy. But it’s been slow for weeks now. Could be the wait an see aspect for now. But the rates won’t go down for years the damage has been done.

Correct. OEM size was 265/70/R16 -- 30" diameter
    These are 265/75/R16 -- 32" diameter.

When my OEM Duratracs wore out, I went to the 32" so I could get a slight height increase, but would not need to do the CMC or full suspension mods to ensure 33's would clear everywhere.

Depending on the tires themselves I think the actual measurement is 31.7”. At any rate, I have the same size in the bfg ko2. Trd pro rims, bora spacers. Trd lift, 2” up in the front, but the stock springs have been compromised by the weight of a hidden winch, sliders and dual agm batteries. (I have ome 886, waiting to buy some billie 5100 to alleviate this). So anyways It rubs at full lock in reverse when I back out of my former in laws driveway. I think a little heat gun action will be the satisfaction.

    Nice!

I’m liking my Maxxis Razr AT’s after running them for about a year. Stock size 265/70/16.

I had a 2008 Tacoma that I went with those size tires to gain a bit of height ( 265X75X16 ). Level ground no issues but at a turn with a depression I got rubbing or if the ground went up as well in a tight turn. I got a 2020 now so staying with stock so I do not have to purchase a new spare with the correct height as well.

Never thought of using a heat gun on a driveway before. Huh.
