    Problem with plastidip is when gas gets on it..no bueno. Better off wrapping them matte black

    I plasti dipped mine. Watch some vids on best methods (like pre-warming the cans) and PRACTICE applying a good wet coat or you’ll end up with Rhinoliner looking orange peel texture. I used about 10 coats. Did it right on the truck with minimal masking as overspray easily rubs off. A year later and they are wearing ‘okay’…a few minor dings. I’m sure I’ll end up re-doing them next summer. However, it’s a fairly cheap and fun project.

    Very true…also road grime tends to discolor the dip a bit over time. I like the vinyl wrap idea…probably go this route next time! Where did you get it?
