hi all! new to this forum and new to tacomas (but not toyotas). my last vehicle was an ‘04 highlander which i loved and beat on. sold it in great condition at 190k, still running perfectly with only minor repairs aside from regular maintenance and timing belt changed at 175k. last month i purchased my first new vehicle a 22 trd off-road dcsb. i don’t know much about cars but the taco has me very excited to read up on things. i would love to do some of my own work on it, but don’t have specialized tools or a designated space to do so yet! so far with this truck i’ve gone off-roading for the first couple of times/plan on a bunch of camping and exploring and can’t even describe how awesome it feels to own a taco and be a part of this community!! it already feels like something special

I had an '04 Highlander I loved too. Sold it to a HS grad for super cheap @140k, because the paint was a total failure. But he's still rolling it 3 years later........

    Welcome.

That’s awesome man. I put nearly 2700 my first month. They are meant to be driven. I never understand how people own these things and drive them 5 thousand miles a year. They are fun to drive.
