PS ... I drink coffee at McDonalds in the morning and I regularly see cat fights in this quiet suburb when people get upset.

I dated a girl who was particular with her coffee. She would regularly ask the staff to remake it several times. We typically went through the drive through, so I was the one who was interacting with the staff. I eventually told her I'm not doing the drive through anymore. The staff felt bad for me and gave me free coffee.

 

At McDonald's?

 

Right?! We have a chain coffee place called Dutch Brothers. Always a long line of cars in the drive through, no matter what location or time of day. We make our own coffee, but decided one day to see what all the hubbub was about. It was on par with hotel lobby coffee, or Dennys. Just the worst, tasteless watered down "coffee" I've ever had. It was like they made 20 pots of coffee with the same Folgers grounds, then used those grounds to make our cup. We are just dumbstruck with the long lines and how people rave about it. To each there own, but damn. We had to drain pour ours...

 

Afternoon i usually dont drink coffee just a soda but wife will drink coffee. Anyhow we go to Dutch brothers and i pay with my debit card and kid hands me the coffee, receipt and not my card. So i ask him for my card and he hands me a punch card for drinks...i then tell him give me my DEBIT CARD! Then he says well i was going to give it back...well why didnt you i said something else but forget now. But i think he was going to keep it...people get busy and dont pay attention

 

Some folks get giddy over coffee that's different.

I've never understood the fascination with Starbucks.

Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's good, which also applies in a LOT of situations other than coffee.

 

Always pay with tap.

 

Dutch Bros gets most of their traffic for the non-plain coffee drinks. They have a zillion different other types of drinks, far more than Starbucks has.

My all time favorite coffees for the taste / flavor are Farmer Brothers, and one from about 30+ years ago - Maxwell House "1892". After years of looking, I found Farmer Brothers on the internet, bought a can..... it tasted like crap. Nothing at all like what it tastes like in restaurants. Maxwell House only made the "1892" variety for a few years back in the late 80's/early 90's, when I was in college.
