Got my 2023 trd sport 2 days ago after waiting since july to get it....went to costco and bought some booze...
On the way home my bottles were sitting on front passenger seat. Clear circular vodka bottle caught the sun through the windshield and acted like a magnifying glass and burnt holes in my passenger seatback...
    F me....
Literally the first place i drove and this happens. Less than 24 hrs with the vehicle....
Searched thru the forums a bit but couldnt find an active link to a site i can buy a replacement fabric for the seat...
    Can anyone help me?

    Oh look, another mod....
This sounds like a great excuse for some Clazzio seat covers. Cover it up and try to pretend it never happened. That's what you get for day drinking! :)

    Welcome to TW.

    You might try the following:

Professional upholstery shop. They might be able to take apart the offending panel and stitch a close facsimile as a replacement.

    Katskin leather.

Or hide it with seat covers. :cookiemonster:

Dang, I remember when the Kirkland brand bottles were frosted. These glossy clear bottles are a safety hazard! Pro tip: buy it by the case so the box blocks the sun.

    Sorry about your seats.

I’d normally say fix it on something that new, but if you get a nice set of seat covers, I’d bet you simply forget about it after a while.

    That is absolutely wild.

Quite a while back, a few folks had their grille surround deformed by what was guessed to be reflection from windows on buildings.

OP, my GSD is afraid of thunder. Of all the crazy things for him to be afraid of he picks that one thing. I left him in my truck while I went inside a store for just a couple of minutes. Yep! You guessed it. Huge thunderclap on a clear day. What the hell? I went straight out to the truck, and he had already torn up a couple of the seats. Can't remember now but it seems like to replace the driver's seat is around $600.00. I feel your pain.

You won't find anything for your model year, but older model years might work, if the colors match.
Select a 2021 Tacoma Sport and then search for cushion cover. Pricey little buggers.

Man, that's crazy! So many things had to be "right" to make that happen: time of day, orientation of the glass bottle, orientation of the truck relative to the sun, amount of time at those orientations, etc. Sorry, that sucks.

I wanted leather seats. My dealer has a local installer. They were about $1300. Not cheap but you could explore that option.

All the more reason to only drink brown liquor... vodka tastes like rubbing alcohol to me. But I know a lot of people like it

I actually work at costco so attempting a corporate lawsuit could harm my job...not interested in pursuing that.....
Just trying to find where i can get a fabric replacement......
Ill prob get some seat covers after the fact but i still want to fix it...
Just knowing that its there will drive me crazy
I also instantly started looking into katzskin also but i would prefer fabric to leather personally.
Plus atahat would be a couple grand on top of the 45k i just dropped

Sooo... talk with a buyer at work and get them to carry some seat covers that you like. Katzkin roadshow event!
