We did this in the late 90s. There was a water hole behind the school and a peanut field just west of the parking lot. We did pretty well  We waited until Saturdays but there was never any problem with the school or local LE.

I just did an active shooter presentation to a security client last month and had to quote gun violence statistics. Here are some of the sources /stats that I used. If you want some data from a "workplace violence" perspective.

    OSHA Fact Sheet 2002 http://www.osha.gov/OshDoc/data_General_Facts/factsheet-workplace-violence.pdf
Source: Flashpoint PowerPoint Presentation, Recognizing and Preventing Workplace Violence, Slide 21, Center for Personal Protection & Safety, Spokane, WA, 2014, www.cpps.com.
Occupational Violence,” Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/topics/violence/
    https://www.rand.org/research/gun-policy/analysis/essays/mass-shootings.html accessed 09-06-2022
Mass Killing definition: Defined by Congress as “a single incident that leaves three or more people dead (Pub. L. 112-265, 2013)”.
Mass Murder definition : FBI defines it as someone who “kills four or more people in a single incident (not including himself), typically in a single location” (Krouse and Richardson, 2015).
Note: there is not "standard" or "Established" definition of "Mass Shooting".
    •John Lott: 2 victims
    •Gary Kleck: 6 victims
    •Gun violence archive: 4 victims
    •No standard of circumstance

FBI Active shooter stats 2021: https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/active-shooter-incidents-in-the-us-2021-052422.pdf/view
Domestic violence and criminal activity make up 80 to 88 percent of mass shooting incidents in the U.S. with four or more fatally injured victims
(Krouse, William J. and Daniel J. Richardson, Mass Murder with Firearms: Incidents and Victims, 1999–2013, Washington, D.C.: Congressional Research Service, R44126, 2015.).
Seigel and Boine, "What are the most effective policies in reducing gun homicides?" March 29, 2019- States: Mass shootings only account for 0.1% of homicides, while 61% committed by a family member.
Domestic Violence and Criminal Activity make up 80-88% of shooting incidents with 4 or more victims: Krouse, William J. and Daniel J. Richardson, Mass Murder with Firearms: Incidents and Victims, 1999–2013, Washington, D.C.: Congressional Research Service, R44126, 2015.).

FOr context, I work as a regional trainer for an international security company and I do active shooter and work place violence seminars all over PA.

I also own and operate my own security consulting and training company.

    Hope these help.

Yes. As a citizen of Mexico you can own certain firearms that are not reserved for "the exclusive use" by the military. A ton of paperwork and long waits, and as that article described, only one gun store located in Mexico City to purchase from. The prices are reasonable, on par with US prices. It's difficult but not impossible.

Do they still sell the .222 Rem instead of .223 down there? Something about military calibers being restricted.

I remember seeing Colt SP1s in .222 for the Mexico market.

Yes. Partizan (Yugoslavia, I think) it's about $1.50 American per round. SEDENA will sell you .223 FMJ you just cant have an M-4. They restrict the firearms more than the rounds. I just checked the list. You can get a Benelli MR1 16" in .223 for about 1500 American dollars.

    Common sense gun laws...
    #1: 2A
    #2: NO OTHER gun laws
#3: all the actions that are already illegal, let's hold criminals accountable + if there's a firearm involved, firearm enhancement...
    Should be sufficient

Life has been busy, but I wanted to report back to y'all and thank you for the links. So it turns out everyone on stage agreed on the topic at hand. One of the other attendees was an economics prof from Chicago whose research is the basis for much of the constitutional carry laws around the nation. There were no disagreements on stage and certainly a lot of great data for attendees to sift through and do some honest self-reflection about how we process media. Among other things, we discussed media bias and the terms used to build narratives. All-in-all, it was a great experience!
