MY 2017 4x4 tacoma had a transmission oil leak, I fixed the leak and put the proper oil back in to the proper level. In drive everything is normal, but now only when I put reverse, the change comes very abrupt.

In the carter there is a screw that you remove and when the oil is at the right level it starts to pull there.
(That's what I investigated, if I'm wrong I'd appreciate it if you corrected it).

Motor has to be running. Temperature has to be correct. What fluid did you use?

i'm assuming you put the truck into transmission temp check mode first?

also, i don't think this fluid is compatible with Toyota WS.

dude I went to the auto parts store and they told me that this is the right oil.
Well, which oil should I use?
and that caused my transmission to fail in reverse?

    What was the oil leak?

Obviously something was done incorrectly, so retrace.

One thing that is missed is the thermostat pin on the cooler during fluid checks, but it doesn't cause issues if missed.
