Whats up everyone, Ive been lurking on this thread for a long time now, and I'm finally feeling the urge to actually chime in.

This is my shelf right now, I have probably 10 other bottle that are opened that aren't pictured (EHT SB, JJB port finished, heaven hill, Alberta premium rye, KC single barrel, 2 more Blanton's)

    IMG_2346.HEIC.jpg

and then I figured since it's Friday night, and allocations are slowly being delivered to some of my local LC's I better make some room.

    IMG_2348.HEIC.jpg

I rinsed the bottles out with water before tipping them over, so don't think I'd waste any lol. But I highly do not recommend wasting $70 on the Rabbit Hole, this was the high rye small batch, it is very smooth but the taste is so underwhelming, there are far better bottles for less than half the price.

Batch 17, the last of the "Jr's"... my friend was kind enough to let me have a taste of his so I haven't opened mine yet.

And its funny you say that, my friends and I were drinking that bottle of Rabbit Hole, and one friend goes "this isn't that great, but the Rabbit Hole bottle with the Maroon label is delicious", and I think he was talking about the Daringer PX Cask.

Cheers. Last one of those I had was straight up caramelized bananas and it was deciduous.

Lots of tasting tonight. Found a good bar in Chicago with a super knowledgeable bartender where we could get small pours so we tried..

Evan Williams Single Barrel- winner of the night
    Elijah Craig Small Batch
Angels Envy Rye - best aroma of the night
    John j Bowman Single Barrel
EH Taylor Small Batch (bit let down by this one)
    Michter's Rye
    Old Forester 1897
Basil Hayden Dark Rye (didn't actually finish this one, not in my palate apparently)

Jefferson’s Reserve Cabernet cask finish tonight. The tiny belligerent tyrant is all mine tonight so I’ve got a good pour on deck for him when he inevitably wakes up just as I get comfy.

Opted for my own designed Mighty Mortgage Manor Maker's Mark Manhattan last evening - Maker's 46, a bit of Evan Williams Honey and a dash or two of bitters.

New Riff hit the shelves this week. This Single Barrel BP is excellent, grab it if you see it. 1A3C18ED-80F6-4A6B-A548-DB86D1D2913B.jpg
