I am up there in years too, but when I was younger I was a trisexual. I would try anything once, but when the donkey came into play it scared me straight.

Why is there always a donkey involved?

Reference: Game of Thrones ending at the table...it involved a brothel too.

    Hmmmmm! lol

    I absolutely LOVE these.

INNO RT202 Truck Bed Bike Rack - Bike Mount for Pickup Truck with C-Channel Track Systems https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002N0013G

I can have the bike in and latched in 20 seconds. I only use one per bike, on the fork tube, and it's fine

The only downsides are that the tailgate has to be down.
And, that you need to keep the bike from shifting backwards when accelerating somehow (at least when using one). A front rail and short strap works well though

I use a Kuat Sherpa, works great for me. Easy to load, stays secure with little to no movement.

Hitch mounted platform rack is all you need. Ive been using the same cheap one I got from performance bike for 150 bucks over 20 years. If your bike falls off, thats on you, cuz it defintely wont if put on there right.

Buy lighter bikes? Any solution except a hitch rack is gonna require lifting the bike over the bed rails or at least into the bed.

What's your budget, and how many bikes do you typically carry? That will narrow down the options quite a bit.

    no, you're doing it wrong.

you need to secure the bike in the 1up, then slap the tire and say "this bike ain't goin anywhere".

    then it won't go anywhere.

    redneck science.

I like this configuration for distance traveling. Leaves the bed 4 my camping gear.

I like bikes that have easy-removal front wheel...

saying that, I don't own any bikes with that capability...

Hence, the bike hitch rack I have that is angled towards the bed.

    No issues...easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

    Oooh, love the electric green!

I hate taking wheels off. We’ve got four riders in my family. 1-up or like rack is the way to go in my book.
