Hello. How do I find what transfer case I have on my truck. There’s no identification plates on it at all. I’m looking to buy a 4WD actuator that’s used oem and I can’t tell if I’m looking at the right ones. I have a 06 Tacoma Base 4WD Regular Cab, 5SP Manual with the automatic T CASE.

This is the part I’m looking at buying.

I’ve been following a different thread on here and me and my buddy have looked into just about everything. The only thing inconstient is the motor for the actuator. It sounds absolutely horrible and gets very hot. We’ve tested the whole actuator outside of the t case and it works ok when there’s no resistance on it but when there is resistance on it give out.

Forgot to post the fix, but I found that the previous owners extended the harness to the t case actuators for a crawl box and did a crappy job wrapping everything up. Found a broken wire and repaired it.
