Morning all. Had a leave slip in for 12 bells, but you know what? Decided on taking the entire day. Being selfish and catching up on things for myself, have a list. Helping everyone else has me way behind so it's my day! Happy Monday all!

Prayers appt. goes well for Dad. Had the same roof issue with dad. so i borrowed the brush to clean mine and never took it back. He called me out on it. where is my chimeny brush. told him i had more room and got it in the shop. he called BS. you kept it so i dont go on the roof didnt you. yes sir i did. told him the dang extention ladder was next if i caught him on the roof. thats what im here for

Another 4 day work week
I have turn in my vacation choices for next year.
I kinda like having Fridays off in the fall.
Gotta set aside days for a Texas trip and a possible trip to Moab Utah.

Thanks Dewayne. The other Saturday @ our cabin my Dad states he is going in his ladder stand. I told him if he is I am walking there with you to get you up in. I knew he wouldn't want me late to my stand before daylight. He didn't go to his ladder. Before season I set up two care taker ground blinds he went to one of those. Man he keeps us on our toes you know? Can you imagine what these guys were like when they were young and growing up? No wonder my Gram had grey hair God rest her soul....

 

Our Dads generation was a whole nother breed Doug. I never ended up half the man mine was. and respect him greatly for it!

 

Agreed Dewayne. No matter what the situation you couldn't keep them down, always found a way to succeed. Impressive as all get out. Have a good Monday!

Good morning folks! I’m getting started on my list this morning and first or second thing I need to do is make a list. My dad always had a list and I remember thinking not another list now I need my own.

These 2 post made me remember how strong my dad was. He always pushed us to be better. Thinking back to 2009, I was back in school and dad was in the hospital. I told him how I was doing in school. With the little strength he had left, he grab my hand and said, "Good Job."
