    03 tacoma:
Installing a double din head unit and all speaker wires are set aside, the power, ignition and ground wires are set aside, but i have 2 extra wires. A green/red on one harness andC7FC9FAC-7D2C-4A60-AFDA-BAF743FC9ACF.jpg 1DEEB049-EB30-4A27-98F2-B67BD20E4D28.jpg a white/green wire on the other harness. The radio Wire diagram doesn’t mention these color wires. But the instrument panel wiring diagram says theyre connected. What do i do with these wires?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It is your light wires so you can use your dimmer circuit

Hook them to the green/Red dash lights or not

Looks like the White /Green might be the bus ground double check with your meter.

Yup green/red on the bigger connector is illumination pos & the white/green on the smaller connector is illumination neg.

Aftermarket HUs won't use the illumination neg. Illumination pos is used for dimming (dims the HU when you turn on the parking/head lights). Are you not using an adapter harness? They're only $5. Usually the smaller connector is only used for the rear speakers. Adapter harness won't even have a wire connected to the white/green.

If you are cutting the stock connectors off & the HU you are installing doesn't have a dimmer wire, then cap off the green/red wire. Cap off the white/green even if your HU is using the illum pos.
