I'm in South Louisiana, it's hot, humid, and damn near rains every day from April till August. I've had better than Rain-x unfortunately, the wipers weren't marked and I didn't realize I'd want to know.

That being said, I do know OEM lasted about 10,000 miles which was good.

That might be what I have on my Truck now..... I got them from Costco. They were similar to OEM, but they sucked whichever brand they were. They were even $20 a piece. They suck, but weren't marked on the brand.

As mentioned I live up in the High Desert and during late spring thru September I see temps 110° - 115° plus and these Rain X wipers still look a perform awesome

I need wipers often for fog, rain, mist and find that only after a few weeks, they leave streaks.

I use PIAA silicone wipers.. have had them on all my vehicles. While they cost a little more then standard wipers they are noticeably better and last longer which in turn are more cost effective in the long run. So far I have had a set on this truck for about 2yrs 60k miles or so rain/snow. The silicones leave a film over the glass which really helps bead the water off the windshield. I haven't tried any other silicones, but I'm sure they would perform similarly.

I keep a spare set of OEM in the truck at all times. Once they start to streak and otherwise deteriorate I change them. Works out to once a year. By having them in the truck you really extend the life but never get stuck. This past year I travelled 3 hours to my parents and the winter slop finally had the wipers showing the first signs of wear. Since I had spares I changed them out and never really had to suffer with poor visibility. Then the next week or next oil change I get another set of spares and am ready for the next time they fail.

Now I do the whole RainX polish then RainX solution and even RainX washer fluid. With OEM blades this is simply the best windshield visibility I have ever experienced.

I tried the Bosch Icons and I Like them. I also use the rainx washer fluid and that seems to help. Prior to that I was using Trico and whatever was cheap at Advanced or Auto zone . Decided to spend to money and I don’t regret it. I just now changed mine at about 15 months
