Completely randomly curious on this one. Where exactly is the outside thermometer?

It’s cooling off here and after about a two hour break between trips I noticed when I cranked the taco, the temperature read 90°F. It was fairly cool so after driving for about five minutes it slowly read correctly at 68°F. So just to cure my curiosity where is it exactly located?

Unless they changed its location on the 22’ trucks, it should be where it’s pictured below.
BTW, it’s normal for the temp to read high after the engine has been off for a while.
The engine bay heat soaks and the sensor really doesn’t read correctly until hours after the truck has been turned off. Or you are driving so that the outside air is blowing over the sensor.

Thanks so much! I figured it would be in an area where the residual heat of the engine would affect it after turning it off. I really appreciate you giving me this information!
