I've been wavering on whether or not to do any lift on the front of my 2022 TRD OFF ROAD. Along with a 1" taller tire, I decided I do want to add an inch of lift as well. I've landed on the Bilstein 5100's to do that. But I have a question, maybe dumb. I've already installed Firestone Ride-Rite air bags on the rear, to accommodate my varying load weights. Does it make any sense to put the 5100's on the read as well? I suppose for esthetics, it would look better with them all around. But would really be a waist of money? Or, is there a significant enough of a difference between the stock 4600's and the 5100's, to put them on the rear too?

    Thanks

The stock shocks are not as good as 4600’s and yes the 5100 is a good choice for all 4 corners. If you left the rear stock you might find a difference between the ride from front to rear more than there already is.

Thanks for the quick answer, but I need to clarify something. My 2022 OFF ROAD came stock with 4600's on it. So. should I still go with the 5100 on the rear?

The stock off road shocks are not 4600s. Either way yes on the 5100’s

IMO if you're just wanting to match the fronts, I couldn't notice the difference in the rear with the stock 4600s vs 5100s

Looking on Bilsteins website, and going by the paint job on the 4600, I assumed my stock shocks were 4600's so I had to go out and look. Model # is, Toyota Bilstein. What ever the heck that translates to.

It is kind of confusing I’ll agree but the stock shocks are not as thick as the 4600’s it’s night and day when you put them next to each other.

When I did my suspension last year, all the pieces came in separately due to supply chain issues. The last to arrive were the 5100 rears. I did a 4,000mi road trip in between. Every so often a bump wouldn't feel right. After putting the rears on, it felt very different and completed the package.
