    Hey TW,

I'm sort of new, been using this site for great information but never really posted much. I've had a few Land Cruisers, some Tacomas, a Tundra, some 4Runners and even a few Hilux pickups. I just picked up a new Tacoma Limited Long Bed and in 3 days put 2600 miles on it driving from Seattle to Bend Oregon then to Bozeman Montana, back to Seattle, then Bend again and back to Seattle... selling one of my Land Cruisers.

I did much of the driving starting at 3am so I was able to test out the headlights and I can say they're great! The 4wd works really well leaving Bozeman last Sunday with 5" of snow. The Tacoma handled awesome! However, I quickly learned how nice those Seat Jackers are after 13 hours in somewhat oddly flat factory seat bases.

Anyway, here are the rigs I currently own.

Since I purchased the Tacoma, I've installed some basic items like the Bakflip tonneau cover, the afforementioned Seat Jackers (a must) and a glove box organizer as well as a center console tray.

I'll add info here as time goes.

    Cheers,
    Adam

Additionally, if you haven't noticed, the fog lights on the FJ40 above are the Offroad Town fog lights available on Amazon that Crashnburn80 did some testing with. They are somewhat inexpensive but work remarkably well. The cut off is super clean and they are very well sealed. The light is spread pretty wide but also seems to be a very crisp color that cuts through fog well. I can't imagine you could find a better fog light for under $100.

Thanks you guys! Toyota vehicles are simply great quality.

When I was growing up, my parents had a string of questionable vehicle choices. Mercury Lynx, AMC Golden Eagle, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Mercury Cougar and even a station wagon that resembled the Grizwold's family "truckster" along with a hand full of other questionable choices. However, they got one right a.... 1983 white Toyota Land Cruiser. (similar to the one I just sold)

I learned how to drive Oregon fire roads in that rig when I was about 14, I was hooked. After my dad was reasonably certain I could drive it he made the mistake of letting my cousin and I take it for a spin. We locked the hubs, put it in 4wd and drove over everything we could point it at. The cruiser came back mostly unscathed and I was a Toyota fan ever since.

A few days ago my mom asked me how many vehicles I'd owned in my life and I figure it's just north of 120.... but clearly Toyota's play a prominent role in the upper echelon of what I believe to be the best quality for the money.

    Cheers,
    Adam

Thanks man, I've been lurking here for quite some time and I set up the account quite a while ago. Happy to be back in a Tacoma! The Tundra was rough on gas mileage.... the day I sold it I looked at the trip computer and it said I was averaging 10.8mpg.... my Taco says 18 but I've done as well as 22mpg on long drives so far.

Super easy reverse bulb swap found here.... https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/gy6-35-hir-921-reverse-light-upgrade-vs-high-power-leds.474996/

I removed the stock reverse bulbs, pinched the brass bulb grasping fingers of the socket and put the Osram HIR bulbs in. This made a huge difference! I highly reccomend this easy mod.

Factory bulb is on the left of this picture.

I wish I would have remembered to take a shot of the old bulb on one side and the new bulb on the other, but I didn't. Probably because the entire process of changing the bulbs out took about 8 minutes. However, the difference is significant! The first time I backed out of the driveway at night I was very thankful for this upgrade.

I'm sure everyone has already done this already but if you haven't, I reccomend it!
