Just put a tarp down in garage... I use Boeshield T-9 for the suspension (doesn't attract dust/dirt as much and is clear) and FF for everything else.

The first tune I did it, I used fluid film aerosols in the garage.

since then I’ve used woolwax outside with the compressor. It’s way less work to apply (your hand will be tired after a couple aerosols) and I am able to get a lot better and more consistent coverage. I did 3 vehicles a couple weeks ago in well under an hour.

being outside is nice to not sit in a cloud of spray lol

I just did mine and was shocked how much if a mess it *wasn't*. It makes me feel I didnt do it right, but I did get a visible kayer on everything I was able to see. Only had a single drip out of the right rocker panel.

But I wasnt able to get inside the tiny holes of the door and hood. If I can get info on how people do that I will go back in.

This is what you need to do inside doors and hood, the wand is only a couple of millimeters wide and fits in most panel gaps and door drains.

Yeah, I have to grab that wand with the 360 nozzle. I got 10 15oz cans from walmart, so I have plenty. Maybe enough for next year too. But will need to get in the doors and plugs, so Ill have to find that wand.
After I go thru these, Ill probly just go with the spray kit.

I pay the pros @ Krown rustproofing $120 cash (Canadian). Drips like a bitch for a few days. I know they did a great job, an I just drive away...

As others said. Make sure you put a tarp down. It’s very very messy. Also good to do outside so your garage doesn’t smell like a sheep pen for the next few months. Dont ask how I know. Haha

Don't understand this tarp nonsense, sounds like a good way to ruin a perfectly good tarp. FF isn't gonna hurt you driveway or the ground.

I guess if you like a grease covered driveway. And the smell. No tarp needed then. :)

It just soaks in, rejuvenates the asphalt too. How do you avoid the smell when you just coated the underside of your truck with it?

Im a DIY guy, but believe me, with this messy shit, Id rather pay 120 and just be done with it. Two places in my area gave me a quote. 329 at one, 350 the other. So...no thanks.

I would not want to do it in an enclosed space…

wind will keep you breathing better air and will vary off overspray- easy to do. woolwax lasts a long time - good stuff!

I do it in my garage but with an open door and a fan blowing. The fan is mostly for the smell. The Fluid Film largely goes where you want it. Any "overspray" is inconsequential.

I spray in the garage with the door open and wash the floor with a degreaser when I'm done. Floor could use a good cleaning once a year anyway.

The first time I applied Woolwax with a compressor, I did it in our garage. I completely underestimated how much "overspray" would be in the air. It didn't seem that bad while I was crawling around under the truck. Needless to say, a lot of items in the garage were covered in a fine coating of Woolwax. :(

Also, I find Woolwax to have much less odor than Fluidfilm.

Can confirm, this is totally doable in the open air with spray cans. No, I didn’t spray the rotors or brakes of any kind. No, the wife WAS pissed because it was on the driveway until spring. No, I haven’t done it since, but that’s only because now I get it done every year for about $20 more than I paid for the spray cans and my driveway stays clean.

Unless it's a 5 gallon kit or you are only doing a surface spray, there is no way you are going to get 8 vehicles out of the 4qt kit. The 4qt kit will do a good job on your Taco and if you are really OCD about getting into all the spaces you can, you will use just about all of it on 1 vehicle.
