just get good plugs, i have the safety seal repair kit, just use lube IMP the rubber cement breaks down the sealant in the plug over time, but sometimes the cement is the only way to get a cut to seal , nail and screws are easy, just hard to get plug in a small hole (she said)

I don't understand how a poor fitting plug lets water in when it's under positive pressure. Unless you let the tire go completely flat, even as little as 5psi of air constantly flowing out won't let water in. And by then you'll have noticed and replugged the hole.

It’s only under “positive” pressure on the INSIDE of the tire.

Les Shwab does the same thing. Free fixes. But I don't trust just the plugs. I pay to have it patched on the inside of the tire.

Back some years ago, I was sliding around in the mud in my 85 Nissan 4x4 pickup. My truck started rattling and shaking and I though for sure I broke something. I took it into a shop and they found mud inside one of my front tires. The tire had good pressure. One of those things that makes Ya wonder "how the hell?"

Inside the tire itself, or inside the wheel rim?

Mud was inside the tire. It must have gone past the bead somehow? I was getting sideways pretty good.
