Does anyone know if there is any primitive / off grid camping allowed on the Pilot Rock trail or anywhere else in the Bib Bear area?

I use caltopo.com and am familiar with the guidelines, etc. Always review before going. It's just helpful to hear from someone that has actually been there. We've ended up in some pretty bizarre places when just following the BLM maps. Dense chollas/poison oak, steady stream of 30mph wind, no flat spots, "no camping" signs (not seen on maps/satellite) etc. No fun. Thanks for the yellow post tip, will look into that.
