I get that nobody want to admit they made a bad decision. I see a lot of guys touting their Rough County block lift and their Rough County bumpers as the best thing since slice bread but if you're solely relying on the opinions of the Tacoma World community without doing you're due diligence and researching said product yourself than that’s your fault. I'd love to tell you how shitty my Kink 2.5 set up is but that would be an outright lie.

I have the OTT, Overland Torque Tune, and I am very pleased with the results; and not just because I purchased it. Lol
Genuine improvement in all aspects of drivability.
High Country Tuning did my install. Answered every question and was sure I was happy before and after I drove off.
When I regear, its in the works, he said he'd reflash for the gearing, no additional charge.
My 2019 was also tuned, OV. Orange Virus. No issues then either, just went with a more updated tune on my 22.
    This is my .02

I really want to get my truck tuned. But my question does this mess with a factory warranty? I know in a past life with my cars messing with the ECU certainly did.. Any insight there is much appreciated.

This is constantly debated. The best answer that can be given is, depends on your relationship with your dealer.
That said, here comes the barage of, "I'm a Toyota tech and we do/do not detect tunes", posts.

Very pleased with the improved acceleration/torque/response.

I got the latest KDMax tune and its best upgrade. It's one of those upgrades that was actually worth it for me

I have been using d3 for a little over 2 years and have had great success.
I do make my own tunes and their software is quite good and easy to navigate.
If you get a tuner from them I believe you can also get their software and make your own tune. Now your cheapest way out is getting their pro tuner software and tacitrix cable if you have a laptop and then use the build a tune feature.
The only easier cheaper way is getting someone to do a flash who is local to you.
Overall the d3 engine tune makes good power at wot and part throttle and helped my truck a good bit but I wanted to change up the transmission a bit more so I went down the road of custom tuning pretty quick.

Don’t bother. Not enough of a difference in performance to justify most of the prices.

Weird isn't it? Some people have tremendous success while others have little to none.
Goes to show you the differences in tunes and tuners. There are good and bad.

How did it affect gas mileage?? And is your truck stock as far as wheels and tire size?

Probably answered in one of the threads regarding tunes... But does it void or affect the factory warranty? My truck is a '22 with 5k miles....

I did not notice any change in my MPGs. I do not have stock wheels/tires; I have 16x8 black rhino wheels and 265/75/16 General Grabbers.

To clarify, I'm assuming you had the same tires and wheels before the tune?

Honestly I can’t remember which I got first but they were around the same time. I get about 18mpg city/22mph highway if that helps at all. That is according to the digital readout, i haven’t bothered to do my own calculations because I’m not too concerned with MPGs.

I would want one but paying for premium gas sounds like a bum financial deal! If they had better shifting and a 87 octane tune that would be the tune I would consider!
