I’ve noticed a trend and I’m not liking it. People bringing in their 200,00 plus cars and spending more money than the car is worth or thinking that the car is in tip top shape.

Generally they don't have a means to afford a newer car, or think them being debt free and dumping 2,500 into their almost worthless car is a better financial move than using it as a DP and trade in the sled.

@Cativelense , after you clean your leafs - do you put them back down on the lawn or do something else with them?
I could see it getting very confusing to know which leafs you'd already cleaned the week before if they're on the lawn with new/dirty leafs.

I've done that several times. I'll put more into a car mechanically than it's worth if the body is good. Proactively replace radiator, water pump. alternator, VC gaskets, hoses, whatever to know I have a car that won't leave me on the side of the road. Even if I put 5 or 7 K into a $3k car - I'm still ahead as I have a 100% car. I'd have to spend at least $10k to buy something reliable, but it's still a gamble. With my car I know it & know what I have.
Of course, those numbers are all too low now, but the maths & ratios are unchanged. I want reliable over features every time.

Look at my 215k mile 2002 Tacoma. I just drove it 10 hours to MI & a week later drove it 10.5 hours back. No issues.
But I have replaced the fuel tank, charcoal cannister, clutch, redone rear brakes & a bunch of other stuffs over the years.
Fun fact - that vibration I've been trying to figure out - it wasn't there on some new road in.... OH I think it was.
My vibration is the local stretch of I-84, not the Taco.

    Good morning CT. Happy Friday.

Going to do a purge this weekend, think of it as an early Spring cleaning.

In truck news, I removed the XM antenna, going to make a template today, see how that fits, then make up the GPS bracket.
