we just got a new air fryer so naturally I wanted to check out what TW had to say. Gotta say the results are awesome. breaded chicken has been crispy and moist, anything frozen has been wonderful.

My best recipe so far has been donuts. I didn't see it in the list on the first page.
So easy, and delicious. Used to make them in a regular fryer so the internet had some ideas, this is what I did.

Buy some pillsbury grands original, separate and cut out 1" hole from middle. preheat then spray basket with oil. I suppose you could use a liner but you want the crispness as i did not flip. 5 minutes at 360. Take out and immediately brush with melted butter (melt while donuts cook, used 5 tablespoons), then dip in cinnamon sugar mixture (also should be ready). Butter helps sugar to stick plus gives a little richness. Eat fresh with a smile on your face.

Tip, when they are cooled and stored they are nothing to brag about, kind of cakey. But, the air fryer can fix it. This time i laid a piece of foil down cuz i didnt want to clean melted sugar and butter. After preheating, 350 for 2 minutes and the sugar on top crisped a little like creme brulee, might have been better.
You can also cook the holes, 3 minutes at 360, but they are small and some fall apart.

Thanks, looking forward to trying recipes on here.

Since we keep going bigger with them, can I put them inside of each other and cook things 3 times faster?

What better thing to try in the new air fryer than a frozen pizza?

There's definitely plenty of room in this thing!

Using the pizza button puts the air fryer at 400 for 12 minutes. I'm going to slowly increase the time until the middle gets a bit more done. Not bad for a first attempt, though.

    Pizza attempt #2.

Left it at 400 but upped the time from 12 to 15 minutes. The top came out great but the bottom wasn't crisp at all.

Branching out from pizza for a minute. Frozen chicken tenderloin with Chick-fil-A sauce and Famous Dave's spicy pickles.

    20221029_124201.jpg

We have these dialed in with the old air fryer but the same temp and time didn't get it crispy enough so I'll up the temp next time.

I also made a plant based chicken sandwich for the kid. Same result - good but could be crisper.
