    I really don’t know anyone that fall turkey hunts :notsure: I’m sure there are some people around here that do . Waaaaay too many hens . I’m too busy trying to whack a nice buck in the fall . The other day there were 3 flocks all within a1/4 mile of my house . Over 100+ birds !
    Birds today I saw were all hens which you can kill in the fall .

    Im jealous of you guys who have an abundance of wild turkey in your area. Not a lot near me. I've only seen one scrawny hen in a year at my place.

    and just a heads up. Im in food service and I haven't been able to buy raw turkey in months, and I'll be struggling to get it in for thanksgiving, if I even get it. Im not sure what the grocery store situation is, but if you can shoot one, you might want to so you can have a bird for Thanksgiving. Supposedly the bird flu hit the turkey farmers hard this year.

    This may be the only place I get to deer hunt this year. I need to have a new section of 4wheeler trail cut in up on the mountain. There is one section that has always been rough, but this summer it washed out pretty bad.

    Slept in . It’s the same every year here at this time . Bucks disappear. I usually hunt hard after Halloween. Don’t want to get burnt out . Might be headed to Pennsylvania to a friends to hunt this week .
